Stamatia Chorepsima

Stamatia Chorepsima, born in Chios and raised in Athens, is a graduate of Piano, Ode, Special Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue and a Diploma in Monody. She teaches at the “HELLENIC CONSERVATORY”, the “ANAGENNISI” Conservatory and the “ALYPIOS” Music School. She has attended, as an active member, seminars in Choral Music and Choir Conducting with composer and conductor Ioannis Karkalas, Piano Technique with soloist Vasilis Varvaressos and Classical Singing and Opera Speech with tenor Sakis Arabatzis.

He has been awarded a commendation by the Music Society of Northern Greece for the promotion of Choral Music, while the setting of the First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians for the “Breath of Love” association, which supports cancer patients and their families, was honored by the President of the Republic in May 2018. In the spring of 2023, he was honored with the “PAVLOU CARRER” award. In addition, he has composed works for four-voice mixed choir, music for children’s theatrical performances, works for string quartet and piano, as well as songs for voice and piano. She has conducted the choirs of “Kephalinians and Ithacaians of Kallithea”, “Retired Employees of IKA Attica”, “Zakynthian Cultural Center Dionysios Romas”, while she has also created the children’s choir of the Model Kindergarten of Kallithea, with toddlers aged 4-6, who are hosted at the institution.

Today she conducts the choirs “PELIADES”, “MUSIC WAVES OF THE PROSPEROUS PROGRESSIVE GROUP OF HMITTO”, the “ARION” choir of the homonymous Cultural Association of Kallithea as well as the children’s-youth choir of the “Alypios” Music School. Finally, she holds the position of General Secretary of the Panhellenic Association of Choir Directors.
